She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles L. Ely and Ethel M. Ely (Miller); her son Erik (Susan) of Frisco Texas; her granddaughters, Quincy and Ella; her son Matt of Hanover, NH; her son-in-law Bill Schaefer; her siblings, Lee Ely (Kelly) of New Holland and Barb Ludwig of Idaho; her siblings-in-law, Barb Liebars and Glenn Haag of Hamburg; and her nieces and nephews, Cathy Liebars, Michael Ely (Mer), Gretta Young (Keith), Brad Haag (Joy), Kristen O'Connor (Mike), Todd Ludwig and Jen Dorbich.
A celebration of Karen's life will take place when public safety related to the pandemic makes such a gathering prudent.
