She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar E. Button and Ruth O. Wilmot Button; her daughter Susan Root; and her siblings, Kenneth Button, Donald Button, Alan Button and Ruth Liechti.
She is survived by: her sons, David Root (Mary Lewis), Robert Root (Pamela), William Root (Susan Polage) and Michael Root; her siblings, Norman Button, Bertha Acker and Evelyn Sprague; her granddaughters, Elizabeth Thompkins and Madelyn Root; her great grandchildren, Darren Stilson and Mikayla Stilson; and her great great grandchild Elliot Schinse. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
