He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Herold and Arthur Dawes; and his sister Lani Herold. He is survived by: his siblings, Jodi Grier (David), Donald Herold Jr. (Marian), Arthur "Jake" Dawes and Thomas Dawes (Maria); his children, Neal Dawes (Brianna), Jason Daniels (Andrea) and Cherie Dawes; and his grandchildren, Jordyn, Dominic Daniels and Holly Crandel.
