He was predeceased by : his parents, Kirk S. Hinkley Sr. and Marion Keigwin Hinkley; his wife Barbara; his daughter-in-law Andrea Hinkley; his grandson Alex Hinkley; his siblings-in-law, Kay Hinkley, Betty Grant, Ralph Price and Albert Grant; and his close friend Clair MacRae.

He is survived by : his children, Kirk III Hinkley (Kathleen), Michelle Suchnick (Tim), Brian Hinkley (Theresa), Todd Hinkley and David Hinkley (Carrie); his grandchildren, Dr. Kirk IV, Lacy, Jacob, Kimberly, Brittany, Brooke, Rebecca, Madison, Justin, Ben and Megan; his brothers, Robert Hinkley and Dr. Alan James Hinkley (Nancy); his sister-in-law Toni Price; and his close friends, Robin Hinkley and Ben Noi.
