It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara C. Bender of Halifax, Pennsylvania, born in Steelton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel U. Bender and Catherine G. Bender (Burkholder); her brother Joseph Bender; and her brother-in-law Delbert Steeley. She is survived by: her sisters, Mary Beckey of Halifax and A. Elizabeth Steeley of Lititz; her sister-in-law Debi Bender of Philadelphia; her nieces, Michele Bisking, Patricia Steeley and Deborah Brubaker; and her nephew Samuel Bender. She is also survived by several great nieces/nephews and several great-great nieces/nephews.
The family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Halifax Fire Company or Hospice of Central PA.
