He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow W. Deiter and Margaret E. Deiter (Schell). He is survived by: his children, Karen S. Simmons of Mechanicsburg and Robert L. Deiter, Jr.; his grandson Matthew Deiter; his sister Denise Lucas (Dale) of Halifax; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy and Carolyn Deiter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
