It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Irene Shomper (Halifax, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 18, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe I. Lahr and Mayme J. Lahr (Killheffer); her siblings, June, Ruth, Robert, Russell and Paul "Carmi"; and her grandson Gary L. Stoneroad Jr..
She is survived by: her birth mother Nancy Smeltz (Fawber); her children, Nancy I. Stoneroad (Gary), Wayne I. Wolfe, John M. Wolfe and David J. Shomper (Stacy); her sisters, Mary Lebo (Charles) and Helen Machamer; and her grandchildren, Michelle L. Liddick (Scott), Joshua I. Wolfe (Kaytlyn), Kayla M. Reyes (Josue), Jeremiah J. Wolfe and Nicole L. Wolfe. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
