She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elvin Strayer, Sr. and Sarah Strayer (Umstead); her children, Shirley Schlegel (David), Carol Caldwell (Anthony) and Richard Reiss (Sheryl); and her siblings, Elvin Strayer Jr. (Kathryn) and Alma Bethel (James). She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
