He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Wilhelm and Anna Wilhelm (Musser); his son Butch; his grandson Bryce; and his siblings, Ruth Sheesley, Roger and Kim.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Wilhelm (Kreiser); his son Dave Wilhelm (Candi) of Halifax; his granddaughter Sadie; and his siblings, Deanna Hoffman of Halifax and Jim of Florida.
