He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Drass and Betty J. Drass (Morrow); his wife Virginia Donovan (Radle); and his son Joshua A. Donovan. He is survived by: his sons, Jason Donovan (Tami) of Halifax, John Donovan of Millersburg and Justin Donovan of Halifax; his grandchildren, Trinity, Logen, Jayden, Haylen, Payton and Skye; his great grandchild Knox; and his siblings, Robert Donovan, Al Donovan (Annette) and Rebecca Donovan.
