He was predeceased by: his parents, David S. Wilds and Margaret A. Wilds (Angel); his son Andrew Wilds; and his sister Karen Wilds. He is survived by: his wife Lorie L. Horne; his daughter Lisa Kohr; and his siblings, Richard Wilds (Wanda), Ann Schmedke, Cecilia Godfrey (Gary) and Mercer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
