It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florencio Castro Cruz Jr. (Gwynedd, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 2, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Florencio and Margarita Cruz, Sr. (Marshall); his daughter Marina Cruz; his grandchild Hanne Tischler; and his siblings, Armina, Gloria, Jose and Verona.
He is survived by: his wife Flora Cruz (Voluntad); his children, Pacita (Cruz), Pilar Tischler (Jim), Diosa Cruz-Senhouse (Rich), Florencio Castro Cruz, III (Nina), Chris Cruz (Julie) and Celia Cruz MacDonald (Dave); and his brother Donicio Cruz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
Due to the social distancing from the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date, with interment in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
