She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Schaffner; and her parents, George A. Chapman, Sr. and Sarah Weisser Chapman. She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Thorpe and George Chapman, Jr.; her niece Diane Shirley; her nephew Michael Thorpe; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Mary Ruth, Bobby, Rachel and Shannon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
