With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florence A. Owens (Guys Mills, Pennsylvania), born in Kennerdell, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 6, 2020 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Florence A. Owens to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Reed and Mabel Reed (Reed); her husband Donald L. Owens May; her grandchildren, Brian and Laurie; her siblings, Pearl Francisco (Forrest "Peach"), Dorothy Gealy (James), Paul (Martini), Donald, Norman and William Reed; and her brother-in-law Walter Slater.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Brunot (Roger) of Frenchtown, Carol McGowan (Robert) of Mt. Hope, Donna Hunter (Michael) of Mt. Hope and Donald W. Owens (Keylea Keas) of Mt. Hope; her grandchildren, Mike Brunot, Mark Brunot (Lara), Connie Williams (Robert), Kristin McGowan (Nate Vanderella), Sean Hunter (Jennifer), Michelle Kelly (Brian), Eric Owens (Opalyn) and Alan Owens (Larrah); her great grandchildren, Brennan, Carson, Jake, Caiden, Justice, Chloe, Avery, Steven, Aiden, Rachel, Moira, Phineas and Sebastian; her sister Lois Slater of Mercer, PA; and her sisters-in-law, Joanne, Jane and Evelyn Reed. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 29034 State Hwy 27, Guys Mills, PA 16327.
