He was predeceased by: his parents, Hands Metheney and Dora Metheney (Butler); his wife Joyce A. "Angel" Lumley; and his brother Donald Metheney. He is survived by: his children, Sherry Davison (Charles) of Grove City, Lea Lester (Rich Kober) of Grove City, William Metheney, Jr. of Grove City and Timothy Metheney (Brandy) of Grove City; and his siblings, Sandy Hinds, Sherry Metheney, Richard, David Jay Metheney, Patricia Foust and Larry. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
