She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rollie Smith and Ana Smith (Johns); her spouse Merle Eugene Filer; her sons, Roland E. "Ron" of Van Buren, AR, Jeff E. (Sue) of Palmyra, PA, Stephen E. and Kevin E. (Kay) of McDonald, TN; and her grandchildren, Renee, Shane, Josh, Andy, Matt, Francis and Jake. She was also cherished by 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
