She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. "Nate" Carothers and Ruth Mary Carothers (Patterson); her husband Chester P. "Sonny" Dunkerley, Jr.; her son David W "Dave" Dunkerley; and her brother James W. "Bill" Carothers.

She is survived by: her siblings, Lois Barber and Robert Carothers (Karen). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions to the Deacon's Fund at the North Liberty Presbyterian Church.
