He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip William and Regina Frances Schaefer (Herr); and his wife Doris Arlene Stoops. He is survived by: his children, Roxanna Schaefer of Grove City, Dee Coulter (Bill) of Grove City, Philip W. Schaefer III of Grove City, Barb Manbeck (Christopher), David Schaefer (Missy) and Ivan Schaefer; his aunt Ruthie Davis (Norman) of Enon Valley, PA; his siblings, Margaret Berger (John), Charles Schaefer and Richard Schaefer (Marsha); and his grandson Daniel Griffin. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
