He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton L. Coulter and Hazel Coulter (Burdette); his siblings, Edythe Wise and Gerald E. Coulter; and his sons-in-law, David Marple and Charles Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Diana Joan Boitnott; and his daughters, Natalie Marple, Kim Coulter, Judy Coulter and Phyllis Lewis (Brian Grossman). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
