He was predeceased by: his parents, Lytle Sowers and Pearl Sowers (Cooper); and his wife Nettie M. Bell. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Chartraw of Sharon, PA, Chrissy DeVite (Andy) of Pulaski, PA and Mark Sower (Hope); and his sister Kay Dannels. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
