It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Royd Rhodes of Grove City, Pennsylvania, born in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Ray and Agnes Beatrice Rhodes (Weaver); his daughter Lynette Rhodes McConnell; and his siblings, Gary Rhodes, Ronald Rhodes, Rev. Clayton Rhodes and Betty Hockenberry.
He is survived by: his son David Ward Rhodes (Rebecca "Becky") of Mercer; his grandchildren, Shannon Young (Nick), Daniel Rhodes, James Titus Rigby, Sarah Prince (Justin), Joshua Lamberton and Celia; his great grandchildren, Connor Young and JJ Prince; and his brothers, Richard Rhodes of Butler and Paul Rhodes of NuMine. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
