Hillwig of Grove City, Pennsylvania, born in East Brady, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin L. Hillwig and Rose Hillwig (Bowser); his brothers, Donald and Robbie; and his granddaughter Serenity.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hillwig of Grove City; his sons, Linc Hillwig (Donna) of Grove City and Justin Hillwig (Joy) of Coraopolis; and his siblings, Barbara Hoover of Butler, Nancy Hutchinson (Lyle) of Karns City and Greg Hillwig (Debbie) of Butler. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The Hillwig family suggests that memorials be made in Elroy's name to the American Legion Post #488, 975 PA-68, East Brady, PA 16028 of the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
