It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Sawaya of Grove City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Sawaya and Violet Solomon (Youness); his stepfather Joseph Solomon; his siblings, Dorothy Karslake and Charles Sawaya; his daughter Patricia Lynn Sawaya (Trish); and his grandson Gordon Sawaya.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Beyer; his children, Claire A. Sawaya (Jose Alvarez), Ellen K. Sawaya and Thomas E. Sawaya (Karen Tempinski); his grandchildren, Mark Myers, Christian Bryant, Matthew Sawaya, Kayleigh McAdams, Shannon Sawaya and Rebekah Sawaya; and his siblings, Gene Sawaya, Lucile Ruonavaara, Janet France, Kathy Solomon, Sylvia Bushala and Florence Farrage. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In honor of their daughter Trish, Ed and Joan have supported childcare facilities and services through Children International, Inc. Continuing that tradition and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children International, 2000 E. Red Bridge Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131.
