He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Montgomery and Helen Virginia Montgomery (Pond); and his brothers, John Courtney "Corky" and Joel Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Charles Montgomery IV, Roger Montgomery (Jane), Stephen Montgomery (Deborah), David Montgomery (Renee), Amy Mueller (Doug), J. R. Greer (Heather) and Mike Montgomery (Julie); his sister Cindy Fetchenhier; and his sister-in-law Sally Montgomery. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
