He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jones and Eleanor Jones (Lauffer); and his brother-in-law Alan Smith of Chattanooga, TN.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Jones (Bussard); his sister-in-law Jo Ann Smith; his niece Dr. Lisa Smith (David Bruce); and his great-nieces, Camilla of Chattanooga, TN. and Alana Zavala of Chattanooga, TN..
