He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Palenchar and Mary Palenchar (Puhala); his former wife Mildred "Mitzi" Palenchar (Valentic); his wife Judith Palenchar (Perhac); and his siblings, Albert, Joseph, William, John, Andrew Palenchar and Helen Woodman.
He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Palenchar (Gina) of Greensburg and Michael D. Palenchar (Karla) of Greensburg; his grandchildren, Gregory Palenchar (Heather), Kristina Palenchar and John Palenchar (Brittney); and his great grandchildren, Luka, Ashleigh, Brayden, Lilliana, Logan, Gavin, Paisleigh, John Jr. and Jordan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
