Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Gongo and Sophie R. Gongo (Ulishney); and his sisters, Regina Gongo and Elizabeth Danser. He is survived by: his son Joseph Jay of Franklin; his grandchildren, Kathy (Lee Sears) of Wardensville, WV, Shelia and Lonnie Martin of Denver; and his significant other Lauren DeChellis Fox. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
