He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Durward and Virginia (DePuy); his sister Carol Ann Miller; and his aunt Dorothy Reagan (Miller). He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Starr Coyne (Miller) and Erica Dawn Myers (Miller); his wife Halla (Wege); his sons-in-law, Matthew Coyne and Shawn L. Myers; his grandchildren, Liam Michael, James Lorien (Coyne), Emily Madeline, Ella Katherine and Evelyn Mae (Myers); and his pets, KitKat, Ellen "Ripley", Aspen "Penny" (Coyne) and Henry (Myers).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) Trail in his name.
