He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Rost and Frances Ann Rost (Regensburger). He is survived by: his children, Greg Rost (Becky Hackley) and Lori Barnes (Gary) of Elizabeth Township; his grandchildren, Carrie Brickman (Bryan), Stacy Noll (Ryan), Garrett Barnes (Sarah LaSitis) and Cameron Barnes; his siblings, Robert Rost and Frances Ann'Nene' McConnell (Rost); his brother-in-law Charles Hallett (Martha); and his great grandchildren, Patrick Rost, Evelyn Brickman, Vinny Brickman, Alivia Brickman, Julia Brickman, Amelia Noll and Norah Noll. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
