We are sad to announce that on August 2, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Rita Rose Pelter of Greenock, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Rose and Elsie Hayes Rose; her brother Sonny; her sister-in-law Mary; and her parents-in-law, Marion J and Dorothy M. Pelter.
She is survived by: her husband James; her children, Jeffrey Pelter (Alicia) of Overland Park, KS, Melissa Handley (Darren) of Fayetteville, GA and Janice Nolan (Eric) of Guilford, CT; her grandchildren, Adam, Nicholas, Makaila, Ethan, Ellsie, Noelle, Cora and Aubrey; and her sisters-in-law, JeanAnn Rose, Virginia Rose of Pittsburgh and Jean Putt of Cleveland. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and loving friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Salvation Army, or Central Food Bank of McKeesport, all organizations Rita believed in and supported.
