She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Wunder and Bernice Wunder (Smock); her spouse Thomas Richard Essay; and her siblings, Joseph, Fred Wunder, Jeanette Johnston and Esther Wilfong.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia "Cindy" McNamara (Mike) of Charlotte, NC, Shane Essay (Debbie) of Greenock, Jeffrey Essay (Kristin) of Rillton and Daniel Essay of Kittanning; her grandchildren, Shane Jr. (Danica), Jamie (Amanda), Aaron (Jen), Anna, Elijah, Joshua and McKenzie; her great grandchildren, Naomi, Eva, AnnaBelle, Isaac, Lydia and Hannah; her brother-in-law Robert Essay of Greenock; and her pet Josie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
