He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Madeline; his brothers, Joseph and John Herold; and his brothers-in-law, Gerald Kuzmick and George Hoffman.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Hubiak Herold; his children, Orena Herold VanBenthuysen (David) of Winfield, PA and William Herold (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Douglas, Drew VanBethuysen, Madeline and Will Herold; his sister Mary Hoffman of Ijamsville, MD; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Kuzmick, Bernadine Herold, Mary Herold and William Hubiak. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
