He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Rusek and Stella Navalany Rusek; his granddaughter Madison Suzanne Hope Rusek; and his siblings, Joseph Rusek, Carol Belcher, Pearl Elrod and Maryann Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Rusek; his children, Cynthia Harvey (C. J. Lynady) of Carbondale, PA and Gerald J. Rusek, Jr. (Diane) of Lenox, PA; his grandchildren, Gerald John "Jey" Rusek, III and Camdyn Rusek; and his siblings, Thomas Rusek of Newton Lake, PA, Dolores Mascaro of Rochester, NY and Dorothy Trotta of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were made to the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton, 322 Wheeler Avenue, Scranton, PA 18510 in memory of Jerry's granddaughter, Madison Suzanne Hope Rusek.
