He was predeceased by: his parent William John Smith. He is survived by: his parent Laura Lippy Smith Nichols; his wife Esther Neff Smith; his daughters, Sheila Goralski (Patrick) of Pasadena, MD, Tina Schillinberg (Stephen) of Ellicott City, MD and Lisa Kaufman of Halethrope, MD; his stepson Kenneth Brookens (Kim) of Fayetteville; and his brother Harry Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
