She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward L. Schildtknecht and Catherine E. Harris Schildtknecht; and her brothers, Leon Schildtknecht and Wayne Spigler. She is survived by: her husband Melvin J. Gelsinger; her children, Melvin E. Gelsinger (Joyce) of St. Thomas, PA, Kathy A. Souders (Mark) of Greencastle, PA and Scott E. Gelsinger (Kerry) of Greencastle, PA; and her sisters, Doris Jenkins (late Jack) of Hagerstown, MD, Lois Potter (late Bill) of Hagerstown, MD and Donna Houser (Buck) of Hagerstown, MD. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
