She is survived by: her parent Florence Dickey (Hixenbaugh); her husband Jack W. Tharp; her son George T. Tharp (Mary Jeanette "Susie") of Greencastle; her daughter-in-law Joan Tharp of Frostburg; her grandchildren, Wendy Mellott (Steve), Melissa Gaeta (Mike), Jason Tharp (Jennifer) and Heather Mallow (Justin); and her sister-in-law Susan Seifarth of La Vale, MD. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
