With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Lloyd Shafer (Greencastle, Pennsylvania), born in Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on June 5, 2019 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Shafer and Mollie Lula Smith (Shafer); and his son Charles Lee Shafer. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Shafer; and his children, Robert Lloyd Shafer, Jr. of Easton, MD, Terry L. Shafer of Mercersburg, PA, James A. Young of East Berlin, PA, Dayle E. Shafer (Donna) of Flower Mound, TX, Jay L. Shafer (Darlene) of Shepherdstown, WV, Linda L. Gray of Greencastle, PA, Kimberly A. Young of Greencastle, PA and Tammy S. Young of St. Thomas, PA. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
