Rachel Koontz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2021, at the age of 83, Rachel Koontz of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, born in Hagerstown, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude E. Showe, Sr. and Ida Mae Showe (Daley); her husband Richard L. "Dick" Koontz, Sr.; her parents-in-law, James "Jim" Koontz and Gladys Koontz; and her siblings, Claude E. Showe, Jr. and Debbie Showe.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy J. Fadely of Magnolia, DE, Sherree K. Koontz of Woodstock, VA, Richard L. "Rick" Koontz, Jr. (Michelle) of Mt. Jackson, VA and Tony W. Koontz (Sharon) of Greencastle, PA; and her siblings, Shirley, Beverly, Mickie, Gary and Richard. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
