She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Byers and Minnie Byers (Miller); her siblings, Dorothy Sanders, Mary "Jane" Adams, Catherine Harrison, Doris Heefner, Harold "Sarge" Byers, Minnie and Mildred; and her former husband George E. McCardell.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary L. McCardell (Ruth Ann) of Rouzerville, PA, Charles J. McCardell (Songsun) of Waynesboro, PA and James E. McCardell of Glendale, AZ; her grandchildren, Tammy McCardell, Kevin McCardell, Daniel McCardell, Aria McCardell and Kaylee McCardell; and her stepgreat-grandson Anthony Marchand. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
