He was predeceased by: his mother Viola Bowers; and his brother Gene Hoover. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Connor Bowers; his children, Michael Bowers (Lisa) of Greencastle, Tracy L. Zinaich (John) of Boonsboro, MD and Curtis W. Bowers of Chambersburg; and his stepchildren, John Scott Thomas (Misty) of Keyser, WV and Kelly Ann Stanislawczyk (Jay) of Keyser, WV. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
