With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joel R. Fridgen of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, born in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 15, 2024 at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinold Fridgen and Marie Fridgen (Schornack); his brother Craig; and his brothers-in-law, William Brand and Eugene Straus.

He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Mathias (Jessica), Thaddeus (Lisa), Nathanael (Jennifer), Noel (Alec Cordell) and Gabriel (Madison); his grandchildren, Jayden, Wyatt, Natalie, Graham, Lucas, Adeline, Brooks, Devi, Moses and Judah; and his siblings, James (JoAnn) of Minnesota, Carol Brand of Minnesota, William (Dorothy) of Minnesota, Mary Straus of Minnesota and Wayne (Doris) of Minnesota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Concordia Lutheran Church (17906 Garden Ln, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
