She was predeceased by: her parent Harold Allen; her husband Edwin T. "Brownie" Brown; and her siblings, Doris Gatchell, Edward Allen, William Allen, Marian Marenna and Raymond Allen.

She is survived by: her parent Mildred Allen (Graham); her children, David A. Brown (Melinda) of Greencastle and Sara K. Gabler (Kenneth) of Greencastle; her grandsons, Kevin Brown (Misty), Steven Brown (Nicole), Joshua Brown and Jacob Miller; her sister Ruth Steinbach of Wisconsin; and her friend Joyce Staples of Waynesboro. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
