She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis D. McIntire, and Bette Jayne Beam McIntire, Sr.; her brother Francis D. "Pete" McIntire, Jr.; and her pet Molly. She is survived by: her husband Ron Shafer; her children, Dave Barry (Karrie) of Hancock, MD, Steve Barry (Susie) of Chambersburg, PA and Kelli Statler (Scott) of Greencastle, PA; and her sisters, Barbara Trumpower (Raymond) of Greencastle, PA and Patricia Jo Heller of Carrollton, TX.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home Inc. (45 S Carlisle St, Greencastle, PA 17225). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (37 S Carlisle St, Greencastle, PA 17225).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jan's name to the Grace United Church of Christ, 128 E. Baltimore St., Greencastle, PA 17225.
