He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer M. Young and Nellie M. Young (Cook); his wife Winifred "Joanne" Young (Klenzing); his brother William Young; his grandson Michael Bohlen; and his close friend Janet Kohler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Catherine Young Trent (John) of Arizona, Amy Young Ridgeway (Jeff) of Ridgeway, WV and Laura Young of York, PA; his grandchildren, Mark Bohlen, Katie Trent (Rhiannon), Joanna Ridgeway and Elizabeth Ridgeway; and his sister Catherine McKenzie of Fayetteville, PA..
