Royal of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, born in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Janet Swope (Bard) and Floyd Swope; her husband John E. Royal; her daughter Pamela L. DeShong; her granddaughter Amber Royal; and her siblings, Leroy Swope, Wallace Swope, Cloyd Swope, A. Donald Swope, Freda Keebaugh, Pauline Swope and Doris Swope.
She is survived by: her sons, Daryl J. Royal (Wendy) of Lititiz, PA and John F. Royal (Christine) of Manheim, PA; her siblings, Evelyn Clonch of Berkeley Springs, WV, Iola "Toots", Zeger of Harrisonville, PA, Wilma Sowers (Denny) of Waynesboro, PA, Warren Swope (Mary) of McConnellsburg, PA, Willis Swope (Barbara) of Berkeley Springs, WV and Leo Swope (Carolyn) of Harrisonville, PA.; and her grandchildren, DJ Royal, Justin Royal, Bradley DeShong and Melissa Martz. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
