It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jean Shanholtz of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 17, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard L. Cordell and Emma F. Bitner Cordell Kennedy; her former husband Franklin A. "Boots" Nisewander; her sisters, A. Louise Davis and Florence Brindle; and her stepfather Walter Kennedy.
She is survived by: her husband L. Keith Shanholtz; her children, Deborah K. Timmons (Donald) of Greencastle, PA and Monte E. Nisewander (Lauren) of Greencastle, PA; her grandchildren, Dustin Franklin Timmons, Danae Emma Timmons and Blake Franklin Nisewander; her stepchildren, Tim, Jamie (Veronica), Jerry, Andy (Tyann) and Alan Shanholtz (Cathy); her siblings, Robert Cordell and Shirley "Sis" Murray; and her sister-in-law Mitsie Shatzer (William "Bill"). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marion Volunteer Fire Company, Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation, Shook Home of Chambersburg, or Grane Hospice Care of Harrisburg.
