He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Eshleman and Ada Eshleman (Horst); his daughter Rhonda K. Kershner; his brother Donald Eshleman; and his brother-in-law Aldine Martin.
He is survived by: his spouse Vernice M. Eshleman (Gibble); his children, Rodney E. Eshleman (Kim) of Greencastle and Renita K. Thomson (Adam) of Winston Salem, NC; his siblings, Carl Eshleman (Dorothy) of Greencastle, Margaret Martin of Greencastle and Audrey Clopper (Paul) of Greencastle; his son-in-law Timothy Kershner; and his sister-in-law Marie Eshleman of Greencastle. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.
