It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avelina Alexander of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Avelina leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcos Melad and Francisca S. Melad; her husband Charles T. Alexander; and her siblings, Edwin, Edgar, Marco S. Melad, Jr. and Marie Melad.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home Inc. (45 S Carlisle St, Greencastle, PA 17225). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd. West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
