He was predeceased by: his spouse Karen Anne Nicklaus (Joyce). He is survived by: his children, Chad Nicklaus (Shannon) and Brooke Cooney (Shayne); his grandchildren, Shayne, Ryleigh Cooney, Molly and Reilly Lada; his siblings, June Pistella (late Jim) and Wayne Nicklaus; and his close friend Joseph Stalder. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Veterans Charity.
