He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Zelen; his daughters, Kim Zelen, Janice George (Ronald) of Churchill and Lisa Zelen (Michael) of Scenery Hill; his stepdaughter Christian O'Shea (Timothy) of Sewickley; his son John C. Zelen (Nicole) of Edgewood; and his siblings, Carolyn Desko (Donald) of Wilkins Twp and Robert R. Kerlik (Paula) of Greenville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William Slater II Funeral Service (1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017).
